Kubernetes Community Days Italy 2023 took place on the 16th of June at Officine del Volo – Via Mecenate in Milan, Italy. There were a significant number of attendees, 19 speakers, and 2 parallel tracks. KCD Italy was the personal event of the Italian Kubernetes Community dedicated to Cloud Native. Attendees and speakers had the opportunity to get involved, share knowledge, experiences, and practice, and to further develop the CNCF community.

Participants at the event offered their expertise, personal narratives, and sometimes unsuccessful experiences as accomplished professionals, rising stars, Cloud-Native enthusiasts, and evangelists from a variety of backgrounds. To expand the CNCF community, more developers and architects with various levels of professionalism got involved.

KCD Italy was the event aimed at developers, architects, engineers, DevOps, Ops, IT professionals, in general, the Kubernetes community, and anyone who is enthusiastic about all that is Cloud Native. It aims to expand the Italian community to make it increasingly open and inclusive and to transform it into a point of reference for orientation in a rapidly evolving CNCF landscape.

The agenda was extremely intense in two parallel rooms after the official opening of the event, and on this occasion, we single out the most interesting titles of presentations and lectures that were selected in the Call for Papers: Secure Software Supply Chain for OCI Artifacts on Kubernetes, FinOps for Kubernetes: Spend Tracking with OpenCost, In Italy, is Open Source open to women? I, AI workloads on Kubernetes – How to maximize GPU utilization and cut costs, Postgres and Kubernetes: past, present and future, How to create a new Kubernetes operator?, One Year In: Insights from a Novice Cloud Native on Debugging and Observing Kubernetes Applications nad more…

The PUZZLE project supported this event as a Bronze partner. Our team looked forward to meeting with participants, networking with peers, and learning more about the latest developments in the Kubernetes space. As a partner, we were also given the opportunity to present our work, Validation Contracts Partners, and the PUZZLE framework. Overall, the event was an excellent platform for us to connect with Kubernetes Community in Italy.

KCD Italy (#kcditaly) event was exceptional, where numerous experts and professionals shared their experience and knowledge on the latest trends in containerization and Kubernetes. With the high quality of the talks, we learned a lot about container security, compliance policy implementation, developer experience enhancement, and much more.
