The EU-funded H2020 PUZZLE project held its 1st Innovation Workshop & Validation Contracts Call Kick-off Meeting yesterday online. Together with the PUZZLE Validation Contracts participants, the project will deliver cybersecurity awareness training and share best practices for SMEs so that companies will be able, along with suggested technical improvements, to implement better cybersecurity culture within their organisations. A Series of Innovation Workshops will follow.

The first of these was delivered via European Cybersecurity Agency (ENISA) experts.

More than 40 participants from across Europe attended this online event: PUZZLE consortium representatives, members of the Validation Contracts, representatives from other relevant cybersecurity H2020 projects, SMEs&MEs, cybersecurity providers, IT companies and local government representatives.

The event had several sessions that covered topics aimed at strengthening the awareness of SMEs&MEs and their better cyber security. ENISA representatives presented the Cybersecurity guide for SMEs: 12 steps to securing your business and Awareness Raising in a Box. Through the Validation Contracts session, selected SMEs&MEs and cybersecurity providers presented their ideas and solutions for further integration into the PUZZLE Framework.

The technical session covered an Overview of the PUZZLE Framework, the project’s overall vision and platform demonstration.
Selected Third Parties Mentoring, Coaching and Clustering covered anti-phishing training, Cyber-range: Attack – Detect – React with examples of simple attacks and detection using MMT in the last part of the event, also as a technical session.
Attendees had the opportunity to try and test the mobile application “MI Cyberrange”, which aims to help users to increase awareness about security. Then by completing the challenge in the game format, they could detect and avoid many types of attacks as examples.

If you missed out, don’t worry!
