The PUZZLE project held its 2nd Innovation Workshop: Fostering Cyber Resilience for SMEs

Thank you to all who joined! The EU-funded H2020 PUZZLE project held its 2nd Innovation workshop Fostering Cyber Resilience for SMEs in Brussels and online.

More than 70 participants gathered in Business Europe and online to attend this event on February 15th, 2023. PUZZLE consortium representatives, partners of the Validation Contracts across Europe, representatives of SMEs&MEs, representatives from other relevant cybersecurity H2020 projects, cybersecurity providers, IT companies, and local government representatives.

The PUZZLE project strives to improve the awareness and knowledge of SMEs so that they can better resist cyber threats. Through state-of-the-art technologies, including AI, trusted computing and Blockchain, SMEs & MEs will enhance their security and efficiently process information flows and online collaboration knowledge sharing.

Through a series of Innovation Workshops to be held with the partners in Validation Contracts, the PUZZLE project will also deliver cybersecurity awareness training and share best practices for SMEs so that along with technical improvements in cybersecurity, companies will also be able to implement better cybersecurity culture within their organisation.

After the welcome by the event organizer European DIGITAL SME Alliance – Justina Bieliauskaite, Projects Director followed by the Keynote: Maika Föhrenbach, Policy Officer, Cyber Security & Digital Privacy Policy Unit, Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content & Technology, European Commission.

„The Cyber Resilience Act: Challenges & Opportunities for digital SMEs” were presented by Sebastiano Toffaletti, Secretary General at the European DIGITAL SME Alliance.

During the event, a Panel discussion was held “Challenges and impacts of the Cyber Resilience Act from the SME’s perspective” with panelists:

    • Maika FOHRENBACH, Policy Officer, Cyber Security & Digital Privacy Policy Unit (DG CNECT)

In the second part of the day, the PUZZLE consortium held Cyber Range Exercises as a special session with partners from Validation Contracts.
